Tesla Motors 2014 - 2018

I began my professional career at Tesla Motors as an undergraduate in 2014. My most recent position was as a Marketing Automation Coordinator on the greater Tesla Marketing Team. Prior to this, I held positions with the Tesla sales and delivery organization before receiving my promotion as a marketer.

Marketing Automation Coordinator (2017 - 2018)

  • My responsibilities were to manage day-to-day email marketing and communications initiatives using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. I was responsible for QA, deployment, and program builds of various email campaigns targeting both our existing customer base and prospects. I worked cross-functionally with the global marketing automation team. Tools of the trade in addition to Salesforce Marketing Cloud included Marketo, Trello, Sharepoint, Excel, Google Analytics, Lucid Chart, and Litmus.

Customer Experience Specialist III (2014 - 2017)

  • As a Customer Experience Specialist at the Tesla Fremont Factory location, I personally delivered over 300 vehicles to Tesla customers. Job responsibilities included managing vehicle prep quality control, finance and sales documentation preparation, and customer training. My deep product knowledge and critical eye for quality control issues positioned me as the go-to delivery expert for VIP clients.

Video Content Marketing Intern - SPARK Program (Oct. 2016 - Feb. 2017)

  • I was 1 of 4 part-time employees selected based on work performance and manager recommendation for a trial mentorship program that allowed me to work with the team of my choice within the company. During my time in the SPARK program, I was tasked with conceptualizing and presenting a project of my choosing to the other participants in the program and the vice president of Tesla’s sales organization. I put together a framework and mock-up renderings for a proposed vehicle functions training. The purpose of my project was to create a way to leverage the vehicle’s infotainment system to provide guidance and setup in order to reduce the human interaction required during delivery as we prepared for the high-volume of Model 3 deliveries.

As part Santa Clara University’s minor in entrepreneurship intern program, I joined Burnwater for an internship to help engage their marketing channel. As a background, Burnwater is a producer of carbon fiber dragon boat racing equipment. During my time at Burnwater, I created a video product demo that I shared through the company’s email channel to help engage customers about Burnwater’s grip tape product, created the company’s YouTube channel, refreshed their social media branding, cleaned up their email marketing lead database, and assisted with organizing their CRM system.

Freelance Work 2017 - Present

I’ve had the opportunity to do some freelance work in addition to my professional experience. I’ve used Squarespace to plan out, build, and write the web copy for three local small businesses in the automotive detailing industry. The websites I built are for Dynamic Detailing , Ceramic Pro Silicon Valley, and Elite Auto Spa. Prior to these websites, the business conducted their operations through a Facebook page. I have also leveraged these pages to run web campaigns via pop-up ads that have yielded up to 20% conversion rates on the subsequent landing pages. In addition to this, I undertake video projects, marketing case study layouts in Adobe InDesign for local agencies, photoshoots for individual clients, social media management for small businesses, and freelance blog posts.

NAVAJO Jul. 2010 - Sep. 2010

Marketing Intern

As a high school student, I spent the summer of 2010 as a Marketing Intern at NAVAJO Company, a B2B marketing agency focusing on technology. During the internship I was tasked with creating an educational video documentary on the rising alternative energy business sector in Silicon Valley. To accomplish this, I compiled questions and conducted interviews with local businesses and research institutions such as Intel, The Electric Power Research Institute, UC Berkeley’s Energy Bioscience Institute, Santa Clara University, Alta Rock Energy, and Tesla Motors. I edited and compiled the video footage into a finished product using Final Cut Pro and entered the film into the City of Palo Alto’s 2011 Greenlight Earth Day Film Festival where the documentary was selected as a finalist in the show and was screened before 300 attendees.
